Probate is the process of opening the estate, paying creditors, distributing assets to heirs, and closing the estate. Texas’ Estate Code provides for a number of methods where there is no will (“intestate”), depending on the size of the estate among other factors. We work with prospective heirs, executors, and administrators to determine the appropriate course of action. These proceedings include:
